WARNING UPDATE. Flooding is expected in Newton Stewart. Act now.

The river levels have started to respond to this afternoon's rainfall and are expected to rise to similar levels as last night. Flooding of low-lying properties in Mill Croft Road, Stewart of Gallies, and Cree Bridge areas may be possible through the evening.

The car park of the Further Education Centre and Riverside Road may also be at risk of flooding.
