Following heavy rainfall throughout Friday, water levels in the River Nith are rising. Flooding of the Whitesands West (Riverside) Car Park is expected later this evening. River levels are likely to remain high overnight and into the early hours of Saturday morning.

Floodwater may also affect the Whitesands East Car Park, as well as parts of Brewery Street, the foot of Friars Vennel, and Bank Street.
