A FLOOD ALERT UPDATE has been issued for West Central Scotland.

This flood alert is for surface water and rivers.

A band of heavy and persistent rain has spread across the area overnight and will continue through Thursday. This may cause localised flooding impacts from surface water and smaller watercourses, which may include flooding to low-lying land, isolated properties and the transport network. Difficult driving conditions and disruption to travel are also possible, particularly during the busy traffic periods on Thursday morning and evening.
