A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Dumfries and Galloway.

Further rain is forecast for this area overnight and until Friday evening including some heavy and persistent spells. As some river level have already reacted to recent rain, this could cause some localised flooding impacts from rivers as well as surface water. Impacts may include flooding to low-lying land and roads, with disruption to travel.
