A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Peebles (Eddleston Water).

 

River levels on the Eddleston Water are expected to rise as a result of the heavy and persistent rainfall through Sunday evening. Further rain is forecast through Sunday night.

There is a risk of flooding to low-lying areas next to the watercourse. Areas at potential risk include Crossburn Caravan Park, March Street Lane, Cuddyside, and Biggiesknowe. Further updates will be issued as appropriate.

For information, the Scottish Borders Council’s nearest sandbag store is located at the Fire Station on Caledonian Road, Peebles.
