A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Skye and Lochaber

A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Skye and Lochaber. 


Heavy and persistent rainfall has been forecast in the area from Friday afternoon until Sunday. This in combination with melting snow will lead to a risk of flooding from rivers and small watercourses. Rivers are expected to start to rise from Friday afternoon and peak early Sunday morning. Heavy rainfall on Friday evening and Saturday also brings a risk of flooding to low lying land and roads from surface water.


Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.  Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188.
