A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Caithness and Sutherland

A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Caithness and Sutherland. 


48 hours of persistent rainfall is expected across northwest Scotland from Saturday evening. Depending on the location of the heaviest rainfall this could cause flooding from rivers and small burns in Caithness and Sutherland. Localised flooding of low lying land and roads from surface water is also possible during the periods of heaviest rainfall.
